1998 Nissan 240SX

Did a full detail on my 240SX last week. It had some nasty water-spots on one side from a sprinkler that sprayed my parking space where I used to live, but now that I'm out of there it was time to clean things up.



After a wash and clay, I proceeded with Meg's #80 by PC on a polishing pad. It cleaned things up real nice. Here's a before and after:

The #80 left such a great finish I went right to NXT 2.0 next. Applied by PC finishing pad, it was the first time I'd used NXT and I found it very easy to apply & remove. It looked great, but the next day I decided to throw a layer of #26 paste wax on top. I'm very happy with the results, here's some pics..

Reflection on the roof. I had to almost center it on the roof because the surface was so slick.

Any tips, suggestions, comments appreciated!
 
Nice work. I always find it helpful when setting things like the rotary, polishes, and the Brinkmann on the paint, to keep a microfibre towel in between to protect the paint from light scratches and swirl marks.
 
Awesome car and a great job on the detail. I would love to have one just like that as the 240s have always looked good to me. Nice work!

It's got the stock KA with exhaust and intake, the suspension's seen more upgrades. I planned on turbo-ing it, to the point where I've already got a manifold and some other bits & pieces together, but other prioritie$ got in the way...
 
Looks great! I had a 96' Emerald blue with SR20, FMIC, turboback exhaust, JIC coils, etc. Loved that car... Great fun, but when I moved I moved to a place where it snows alot, so RWD+snow=fail...

How do you figure? Regardless the car, RWD Was widely used for the first 70 years of the last century, until FWD Was found to be cheaper.. People got along fine in snow with 2wd REAR DRIVE Vehicles, and still do. Put some snows on and you'll be fine unless it's excessively lowered.







OP.. I love what you've done with it. Also, I really like that front lip!

I know people do it. My GF did it fairly well this season in her RWD jeep, but we also took my car whenever we went up to the slopes which would have been next to impossible to do in just a RWD car even with chains (I saw many try and fail this season).
