1997 Mustang Cobra

I did this car for a client this past summer. I think it had around 50,000 miles on it. Nice car but just needed freshened up, as it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Between the one I owned and others, I had a few Mustang details this year. Not sure what that's all about, but hey, I'll take it!! lol

Here are a few of the before shots that I took. Pretty dirty....

After I de-grimed and washed the engine, I started off with the usual shampoo wash and clay. I couldn't do much with the convertible top as far as brightening. However, I did get it cleaner with PB's APC and a stiff bristled scrub brush. Once all washed, dried and free of pesky water hiding in nooks and cranny's, I was ready to start correcting and polishing, but before that I like to add a coat of Wheel Sealant to all the wheels and let it dry while I polish. That gives me time to let it dry and add a couple coats. I didn't want to go real heavy with the correction but still get a majority of the swirls out. I did this with my PC7424 and white pad with SSR2.5. After that I used SSR2.5 again but with a black pad this time. That really finishes off nicely. Although, I wanted more. So, I grabbed another black pad and used the almighty Pro Polish for the mirror finish. That is one of my favorite products to use, it just yields great shine. I always like to use Black Hole glaze, especially on these darker colored cars. It just fills in nicely and has a fantastic look. I'll admit... between the great scent and fantastic results, Black Hole is very addicting whether the finish needs it or not!

I finished off this Red Stallion with Natty's Red Paste Wax and PB Spray 'n Gloss to catch any left over wax residue. Just can't go wrong with that as a last step. :bigups

Great job. Gotta agree with the Black Hole. Im not a big fan of glazes, but Black Hole and White Diamond are both fantastic.

great job !! I've always loved mustangs .. just never really fell in love with THIS particular body style .. my heart fiends for an 04 Cobra :-X haha that body style is dead sexy IMHO lol

The '04 Cobra is the Mustang of the 2000's! With the forged internals these things can be monsters! ;)

This is the '03 that I had last Summer..

Thanks guys. He was getting it ready to sell. As far as the top goes. You know that's a good question. I didn't apply anything to it after cleaning. Wasn't really sure what would hold up all that well. I suppose Bold N Bright diluted a little would work well or even Natural Look.
