I just got this 1996 Honda Civic around a month ago and the paint was not in the best condition. You could tell that someone tried to keep care of the car with, I'm guessing, a cleaner wax and left residue all over the trim and they may have used a dirty terry cloth towel to apply it. There were deep scratches and swirls everywhere!
Here is a 50/50 shot I took at home after using some 3D HD Adapt. Since I ran out of time at home for a deadline I couldn't finish the rest of the car, and didn't get the exact look I was going for, so I had an opportunity to take it into work and make it look nice!
Before roof:
Inside under lights:
Before hood: you can still see some swirls and scratches in the middle of the hood.
50/50:
50/50 Roof:
Using the FLEX 3401 with Lake Country CCS Orange Light Cutting Pad and 3D HD Adapt on hood roof and trunk, I used 3D HD Polish with the FLEX 3401 with Lake Country CCS White Polishing Pad on the side vertical panels since I had very light swirls there.
Both 3D Products spread very easily, no dusting at all, and are very easy to wipe off.
I used Wolfgang Fuzion as my LSP/wax:
It spreads out very thin and was very easy to wipe off, after waiting around 15 minutes for it to haze.
After shots:
Honda Civic Old School VS New School:
The car turned out great, actually a lot better than I expected. All the products worked great and were very easy to use. Just the other day my friend asked if it was the same car or if I got it repainted, he couldn't believe how good it looked. :bigups
