This is my first write up. My brother came home for the weekend after he got his car running again. Paint is just starting to peel in certain places as it is a single stage paint, he didn't want any swirl removal because the paint is very thin, so just wash,clay and wax.

Hi! Nice work, you dont see many of these around so keep this one looking! I cant tell from here but in person you might find you get greater clarity from the paintwork and better durability if you use a paintwork cleanser before waxing.



In the case of using 105 or 205 these will also clean the paintwork and refine the finish. When you say paint transfer, you mean the pad will go red? If its single stage paintwork, by hand or machine you are likely to get some paint transfer.



If its clearcoat you will still be removing paintwork if you polish with an abrasive, you just dont see visable transfer as you would with a single stage.

Would something like DG 501 work as a paintwork cleanser? Next time i will probably polish it as well

because today or tomorrow he is putting on 17inch SSR competitions so i will probably clean them up then when they are off the car. Much easier to work with.

501 would would perfectly, it has great cleaning power and should bring the colour out even more!



If you like P21s alot you can also buy P21s Gloss Enhancing paintwork cleaner "GPEC".



It has oils which make red look wetter and deeper.

I will post picture tomorrow, Put the SSR's on tonight but got too dark.



@steelwind101 i like p21s but use s100 because it costs less. i'll look for the GPEC in s100 line. Thanks for the tip.

I got to UMD but just got a job after graduation in Rockville, love it there and plan on finding an apt. there in about a year.

I've never priced S100 stuff versus P21s, but I was told directly from a rep that one of the main differences between the lines was that P21s products have a non-streaking agent that the S100 products don't. Just something to keep in mind in case you notice any problems.
