This customer came to me specifically to remove the swirl marks from his car. It was a major problem. I solved it by using the PC with Meguiar's Red cutting pad and Meguiar's Diamond cut....then I used VM to get the marring out of it. I haven't decided what wax to use yet....but that doesn't really matter much as far as looks go..One of the lessons I learned was that you can take out HEAVY swirls with the PC if you take your time with #85....and by taking your time you save yourself allot of trouble by using the diminishing abrasives in Meguiar's polishes......I tried to remove the marring with 1zPP but it just wasn't working well.....so i tried VM and it did everythig 1z did and allot more...I didn't have to touch the interior....i just included a pic to show that the whole car is clean....I did do the engine....but i really just did the details.....it didn't look much dirtier....you wouldn't notice in a before and after pic.....so I didn't include it...

Let me get this straight: You successfully used Megs #85 with a red pad on a PC???

Wow. Maybe I need to try that on my swirls and tough water spots. So far I haven't tried anything beyond Fine Cut #2.

How did you work it in? Very slow passes on a 1 sq foot section with a lot of pressure?

My LS is an even blacker shade of green and has some nasty water/acid rain etched in spots on the roof I need to get out.

great transformation! wax DOES make a good addition to the overall look of the car tho.. but that is a great job polishing with a PC. keep it up!

16 if the vetter gets taken out a lot, Natty's if it is a garage queen... my two cents

Yea.....I went moderately slow....decent pressure...and took allot of time.....it came off pretty easily.....i didn't notice much problem with it....it left the paint hazy...i was amazed that I could go from #85 straight to VM tho....worked great ....
