Oh great Miata paint restorer Master :bow : Do you think a red Miata SS with mild-moderate oxidation could be brought back to life with a *mere* PC? What products would you recommend?

Lol. PC can bring back a lot of life but I wouldnt expect perfection. I would suggest a yellow cut pad with possibly SSR3 or OHC. It will take MULTIPLE passes and som decent pressure. Also, be prepared to clean your pads after every other panel, paint transfer and compound will cake up the pads pretty bad.

IMHO, you'll have very little success with the PC. At least in terms of rectifying 15 year old single stage paint.



Having said that, try Meg's yellow pad and #83 DACP on your PC. If that doesn't 'cut' it, then move up to a rotary.
