One of these days we oughta do a "Best Inspection Lighting, 2018" thread, though it seems to be really subjective, with different people saying things work well/don`t.

Mike lambert- That first/earlier version on the stand seems to be the (?only?) one that never gets a bad review.

That`s what I gather, and IME what`s great for paint color/texture-matching isn`t always great for swirl-spotting.

I worked with Rod Kraft from Griot’s on a special project a little while ago and he brought the Griot’s lights. Other than the shape, I cannot tell the difference.

OK, I`ll keep that in mind as I await further feedback.

I thought the current Scangrips would be OK until people started contacting me via PM to say they didn`t work as expected, so I want lots of feedback. Fortunately I don`t plan to do much of any correction in the forseable future.
