Engine Detailing...

Engine took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. After removing grime and grease with APC and electric pressure washer, I had to remove 20 years worth of baked on cosmoline prior to polishing aluminum engine parts with Mother Aluminum polish and Flitz. Engine dressed with Auto Magics Dress-It and touched-up with Stoners trim Shine.

Cosmoline was removed with various grades of steel wool, varies brushes, APC and a lot of elbow grease and patience.

Amazing work, only people like us who knows how hard it is to get a car back into that kind of condition understand how really skilled you are.

Dean you've got to post some of these brushes you use on the engine! Looks great what did you do to the carpets, they look new as well.

Andrew

Wow! As everyone else has said, the engine before/afters are amazing! The whole car looks awesome, excellent work!

I definately agree w/ everyone else, that engine bay transformation is incredible!!! You mentioned that you removed the pinstipes, what do you think the best way to remove old caked on pinstripes?

if you dont mind me asking, how much does a job like that go for? i am thinking about getting into minor detailing on the side for some extra cash. i would not be able to come close to that, but i am curious as to what the pros charge for something like that. it is truely amazing and a real work of art.
