Excellent work, Dean! You really get to detail some cool older cars. The paint, interior and engine look flawless! :up

What is the mileage on that car? I cannot believe how mint everything is considering the car is 31 years old.

BTW, did you ever clean the underside of the hood? ;)

Enduro,

Ask your parents what the color scheme was in the 70s. Gold, orange, and yellow were in.

lol i know thats what was in but what the heck was everyone thinking??? lol

This was an estate car that was pampered mechanically its entire life. The paint was almost flawless save for a few minor scratches. It had under 20k ORIGINAL MILES !!!

The sound proofing under the hood has been ordered.

I agree about the color being "unique", but as for 70's and 80's Mercedes, this is nothing !!! I detailed a quite a few older Mercedes with some "unique" color combinations (especially interiors).

BTW... This Mercedes had a leather interior, whick I really do not care for. Mercedes Benz vinyl is called "TEX" and is indestructible, and easier to clean. The TEX does not bleed whereas the leather must cleaned with care. If you get too aggresive with these older hides you will cause more harm than good.

Thanks for all the kind words. This car was a pleasure to detail.

Wow, electric fan on a '74 north-south engine...that was sure unusual back then. Looks like the front's been repainted looking at the paint on the fan bracket.

Just an awesome detail Dean......:xyxthumbs

I always enjoy your interior details, you really have a knack for that area of detailing.

Again, great job my friend......sure the color is horrid.....but it was the 70's

Since you told me about the guy selling these cars I have been watching on Ebay for his cars. When I saw this one the other day I figured you must have detailed it. Did you also do the Q45? What does that green look like?

He has a lot of BMW's and Mercedes but neither of them makes hardly any models that have enough head room for me.

The Q45 was detailed in the fall (notice the leaves in the pics) and was sold. He (dealer) most likely took it back on a trade for another car (which is not unlikely with his cars). The green is a very light metalic. He is posting a 1999 LS 400 tonight in Silver w/ black int. I detailed yesterday. I bought a car from him in 03, and I have friends and family who also bought cars from him. His ebay seller name really suits him. He had an incredible 02 Lexus LS 430 last week, with 23k. It sold in 3 days !!! I really liked that car !!! I have detailed so many nice Porsches for him that I have lost count !!! If you continue to watch, you will see that he gets some obscenely low milage SL's, and my absolute favorite car I ever detailed for him was a 1986 SL560 in Black w/ Grey int. The car had 5600k miles and was owned by a real world Felix Unger.

I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THAT CAR !!! I will locate some pics soon and post , and you will not believe this car !!! AMAZING !!!

Obviously, I enjoy his business !!!

Setec Astronomy... I thought the same, but the paint was guaged, before purchasing and was consistent throughout. One owner and claimed no paint. Original sticker and service records back to 74 came with the car.

That is an awesome detail, Dean your attention to detail is nothing short of outstanding, I am always impressed with your work, great job. :xyxthumbs

Yet another GORGEOUS detail of some classic iron!!! :xyxthumbs :bow

Phenominal work man!! Your engine details (nevermind the rest of the car) are incredible. :bigups

Clean Dean,

That is some fine detailing! :bow :bow :bow

Classic car with a great exterior and a great interior. What more could the owner ask for! :xyxthumbs

I love to see the older cars shine just as much as the newer ones!

Keep up the great work!

Cheers,
