This is a car that has been on the schedule since fall of last year. About a week before his appointment last year his oil pump went out and damaged the motor. So we decided to hold of until spring time. This 71 Camaro has nice lines and paint but your typical swirls and holograms etc from years of improper maintenance.

Prep

Mckees waterless wash, nanoskin handy towel.

Correction

Rupes Duetto/Adams swirl killer mini, IGL Microfiber cutting pads, Boss fast correcting cream

Finish polishing

Rupes Duetto/Adams swirl killer mini, Rupes Yellow pads, Hyper polish

wheels/tires

Tires- LATA, hyper dressing

wheels- Mckees waterless wash on the go

LSP- Mckees High Def Paint Sealant

Chrome- Mckees fast chrome polish

Justin:
What did you do to the engine compartment, IE; How did you clean/de-grease it and what did you apply as an LSP to the compartment paint and rubber pieces??

Just curious: Why a McKee`s37 sealant and not a higher-end show-car worthy wax? It looks great in the pictures, though and I have seen Mike Phillips use this identical sealant on a metallic yellow Lamborghini with stunning results.

Also, What do you use as a water-to-product ratio for Meg`s Detailer Line D170 Hyper Dressing on tires? I ask because the tires in some photo`s look "glossy" and not "natural" for a show car and does this "sheen" wear off over time to become a more natural look?

The engine just got a quick wipe down with a quick detail spray. He redid the engine bay while the engine was out being rebuilt.

Not big into high end waxes TBH. It was either High Def Paint Sealant or IGL Premier silica based sealant.

I do 50/50 mix with hyper dressing. It will dull down over time. If this was a concourse type vehicle it probably wouldn`t have got much of a dressing at all. Being it`s a driver and goes to local cruise ins I do the typical Hyper dressing mix. Actually he was thrilled about the tires and wanted a gallon of Hyper dressing lol.
