This correction was done for the same client with the Acura NSX and the SLS once the Mercedes was complete I dropped it off and got the opportunity to drive this masterpiece back to the shop for correction. Growing up this was my dream car as my dad and I always looked at buying one and fixing one up but never was able to find one that we could fix up so when I found out he wanted to have this car corrected as well I was more excited to do it then any Bugatti or Lambo that comes in the shop. This particular car was used on set for the gone in 60 seconds movie and was in pretty pristine condition all over but the paint had some issues! They weren't very many swirls due to the clear coat being on the harder side but there were plenty of deeper rids. I finally got to use the little 3 inch Rupes tool and I honestly am speechless it was cutting rids out faster than any combo on the Griot's and on top of that I was able to cut out rids with just the compounding foam from Rupes. Make sure to place your order with Kevin Brown Asap its a game changer for sure!

I'd love to be young again and pull those all nighters! You're an animal Jimmy! :D

Great work on Eleanor! That engine bay is sick!!!

Beautiful car, guess I got to see the remake now. I saw the original back in the seventies, it was a yellow Mach I, a 1970 model I think.

You do fine work sir, thanks for sharing.

it is completely original

Interesting; I didn't think they built any Eleanors out of real Shelby cars, I was under the impression they were just fastback coupes that were modified.

Just going off what the owner told me word for word!

No, I'm guessing that is not an original. I don't think they would modify a $75K+ car to make it look like that. There are many differences, such as the original didn't have the exhaust coming out the side in front of the rear wheels, they didn't have those wheels or fender flares, the side vents were smaller, and the hood was different.

Here is an example of what should be a real one. 1967 Ford Shelby Gt500 67 Shelby Gt500 Rear Photo 2

I really could care less, but was curious if someone actually modified an original Shelby. That would take some guts.
