The first posting has the befores, and inprocess photos. The second posting has the follow up photos.

the paint was in pretty good condition.

Process:

Blue clay

106FF and 6" Blue LC CCS (Rydawg) got me hooked on this combo!!!

IPA wipe down

LSP.........UPGP

Just cleaned the tires and no gloss on them, the vintage look I like for the tires.

Undercarriage..........yes that is right 4 hours of cleaning not the joy of my life on this detail. The owner said go light on it, dont remove any paint.

Inside

Wipe down with CG aloe dressing on leather

Cleaned glass

I have to say this job scared me......... the car costs 4 times what my home does, and more than the value of all the cars I've done for the year.

here are some of the afters. I was not able to get it outside since it was dark and snowing. It was hard to show the true reflection and paint condition. The photos of the undercarraige don't look much different, but trust me the amount of BLACK grime was huge. Also of note is that the owner wanted to keep as much of the undercarriage orginal, just remove the grime. The cross members are very clean, oxidation stills shows but he is happy. Total time was 8.25 hours.

Sorry I did not have a tripod so, some images are a bit blurry.

I did not dress the tires, I just cleaned them to a satin. I also went with UPGP 1 coat.

Enjoy...............I am truly happy I got to work on such a gem..........portfolio builder!!!

You're knee deep in purist territory. I would say no to the dressing, and stick with a carnauba. You're not detailng a car, that's art!

Wow! I vote on s100 for it myself. Anyone know what the book value of one of these is? I'm rather curious! Amazing machine, doesn't begin to describe!

That car is worth more than the gross national product of some countries!

Depending on overall condition and origional parts the car is value in mint condition around $700,000. If not mint between $500,000-$650,000.

Don't screw up Greg.

Nice Vintage, can't wait to see the after pics.:bigups

i'm sure you'll do an outstanding job, i can't wait to see how you tackle the undercarriage. the car is breathtaking to me, it is rolling art.:wow:

A fine example of one of the greatest automotive designs ever. (And I'm not just talking about styling, the mechanicals in the car are spectacular.)

I hate you. (in a good way ;) )

Not that I’ve tried any of the LSP’s you mentioned, but somehow I feel S100 would be appropriate.

Definitely dress the tires. But use a low gloss dressing. High gloss wouldn’t be right with alloy Borranis.

Please post pix of the rear suspension and transaxle too. (and the motor, if you get a chance under the hood)

PC.

It's one of my all time favorite Ferrari's. You lucky dog you. Enjoy working on it and don't forget to post more pic's during your process...............:2thumbs:

Amazing car! Absolutely the weirdest exhaust system I'd ever seen. Beautiful hand built frame though, under the amazing coach work.

I vote yes, dress the tires but keep it low gloss. Of the three LSPs you mentioned I have only used OS so I'll abstain from voting on that.

Can't wait for the afters!
