I love British sports cars. This my dad owned ever since I was born in '91. I pretty much know every spec about it. i love this thing, currently it doesn't run and I want to get it running again and spruce up the finish a little bit:cooleek:

sorry for the blurry pics, if you guys want better brighter pictures, just say so, because I will tomorrow.

What a beautiful example of a bygone era of sports cars.

I can't honestly remember the last time I saw one and yours is in amazing shape.

Thanks for sharing, and if you get the urge to post more pics, I'll be looking for sure.

My first car was a '64 Sunbeam Alpine, the convertible with the hard top and had English sports cars for many years so I've always had a soft spot for them.

Love those cars. Been very tempted to buy one the last few years. The only British car I'd rather own (other than the one I already own) is the Austin Healey 3000 BJ7, Just a bit more room to stretch out for longer drives.

John, I TOTALLY agree with you, this is an era that's gone but I want to continue with it and being 18, I have a plenty of time.:2thumbs: I definetly will take care of the heirloom:brit Yeah, compared to some it is in great shape and I definetly will.

The Bugeye's surprisingly have a spacious cabin for how big they are. A 3000 just sold for $100,000 at the Palm Beach auctions, now that was a beautiful example.....you can find them relatively cheap though. The 100's are harder and a 100S is even harder.

That's awsome that it's her favorite, tell her I think she's awsome! I want a women like that!:wavey

Ok, the last tme we had it running, which was years ago when he would come to a stop it would spit and sputter and backfire sometimes. He then changed the timing, I forget which way, after changing the plugs too, it then wouldn't want to really crank over, I think he maybe advanced it too much, but he just thought the ignition was bad and was going to cost money. I said to maybe change the timing back. So it just sits in our garage now, lonely, poor thing.:aww: I want to keep it going badly, I want to drive it, I think about it everyday and am more enthused and willing for it than my dad, so i'm trying to do something and with me trying to find a detailing job, it's hard to get the funds for it though. I say zip ties and tape but he doesn't think with repairs like I do! I'm more Grassroots Motorsports.

might be worth looking at a replacement electronic ignition system - cheap and effective and should be one for that model. Few hours to fit, but once set up they are cracking and save loads of work in maintenance :)
