Here's one from last week. Mostly original paint, top of front fenders & hood seem to have been resprayed at some point. It was in surprisingly good shape considering the age, just had some light buffer trails throughout.

Unfortunetly the sun was not cooperating for the after pics but this pic is of the same spot on the paint as the previous pick, just taken closer to the paint.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It does have single stage paint and unfortunetly I didn't take any interior shots. We only did the outside for him and I was in a bit of a rush at the end of the day with the other jobs so that's all I had time to take pics of.



The process is fairly simple and really not any different then a B/C paint job.



As far as the paint goes we:

--De-tar/De-grease

--Wash

--Clay/Rinse/Dry

--Polish using Makita Dual-mode machine, D/A mode w/ speed between 3 & 4, LC VC white polishing pad & Menzerna FPII.

--Wax w/ Meg's #26



I polished most panels twice to ensure an even finish and to rid the paint of some oxidation on the top surfaces. Other then that it was pretty straight forward.

The same customer brought in a white 1950 DeSoto a few days later. Almost looks like the same car.
