#16 on windows beats out anything else I have used...

:) When I applied #16 about a month and a half ago to my car, I decided to put it on the windows. Hey, it provides a clear finish on paint--it should on windows.

Well, it was one of my best ideas yet. It's still beads just like it is on the paint. The windows stay cleaner longer. The wipers work better (they're 10 months old now in need of replacement).

There was no streaking. There was no wear off where the wipers wipe. (this happened when I put Blackfire on my windows, heh). Actually, with BF II I got a line where they didn't wipe--didn't make me happy too much.

Anyway, I figured some of you may have tried this, but I just wanted to pass it along. Definitely :xyxthumbs

I'm new here, obviously. Who make's #16, I just feel dumbfounded seeing all the #xx here and not knowing what brand it is to look for.

thanks for the help

When I used wax, I always waxed the windows too. I also currently use Mothers chrome polish, since it prevents finger prints and waterspots. Works like a charm.

I don't know. :p But it does work better than VM. If I'm using VM again on my car, then i'm going to do both--as the VM will clean, and the #16 will last forever. :)

Corey, have you done a side by side with Rain-X?

I did Rain-X vs. EX-P (polished with SSR1 first) and rain-x beads ran off much quicker and the Rain-X was not freshly applied.

I don't have any Rain-X.

But EX-P isn't the most well known protectant for beading. ;) Don't get me wrong, it beads well (I do question its durability), but it doesn't bead like #16. :)

EX-P is a sealant that sheets, so I'm not surprised. One thing is for sure though, Zaino Z5 blows away Rain-X, and I'm sure #16 does too since Zaino and #16 seem to bead similarly (like crazy) ;)

Just did my windshield with AIO today, I'll let you guys know how it compares. Maybe I'll top one side with #16...

(Oh god, now we're using sealant + wax combos on our windows!)

Bretfraz gave me some Autoglym Glass Polish to try on windows and it works very well. It really smoothed out some trouble spots on my wife's car.

I would think using a polish product like this would be better than wax. Also note that Lexus windows in front side (L-R) are now a special rain-repellent window finish that works suprisingly well.
