I just wish we weren't led by a bunch of weak politicians who are incapable of doing their jobs AND dirty politicians with their own agendas.
Politicians get elected because of special interest groups that give little to no thought about what's best for our country. That's what needs to be corrected. We're never going to get them to like us unless we become like them. Another president like the one we've got and I'm afraid that could happen.

I actually think at times the elected politicians are actually like those that voted for them. They just do not want to admit it. Trump is the result.
Congressional effectiveness will be determined by Paul Ryan and the president that has to work with him. It is interesting how many claim they will do something the first day -- all have to be done by executive action -- without input from Congress.
But then the party of Lincoln's president issued the most sweeping executive action --- The Emancipation Proclamation that became actual law when the 13th Amendment was approved.
