So I wanted to make this a bunch of separate review threads for the products I used but there were so many and the excitement of finally getting to do something like this got the best of me. I will for sure be doing it again on my and others cars so maybe then.

This was my first time polishing. I`ve spent the last few weeks on this forum reading anything and everything that could help me. Hours and hours and hours. From which machine to buy and the products that *should* work the best.

Tool : Rupes MKII 21

Products used : PBW Poly Clay with Dodo Juice Ferro Lube, Rupes Blue pad with PBW Master Cut, Rupes Green pad with PBW SSR 2.5, Rupes Yellow Pad with PBW Polish with Caranuba Blue, and Dodo Juice detail spray. Wiped off with Supreme 530s.

This was a ton of fun for me. I didn`t take any before pictures but it was bad. The type of bad where if I asked a pro-detailer what the damage is they would take a deep breath and sigh. People would run in the opposite direction.

If I could do anything different it would be to buy a different clay lube, maybe just use the Dodo Juice detail spray instead. I can`t believe how bad that stuff smells. I bought it because I thought the pros would outweigh the smell but it`s a really thin line. Think barf sitting in a car at 110 degrees with the windows rolled up and rotten milk soaked into the seats and Pig-Pen driving.

I`m not posting close ups because somewhere between the garage and the driveway a bunch of very light swirls appeared. Mildly irritating. I`m going to bet I should of washed the towels I bought before use, I just took them straight out of the box to the car. Learned from it and on to the next! Car looks infinitely better than it did prior. Absolutely gorgeous day today in Vegas B)

I suspect you`re right, Ron. My phone reception sucks right now, or I`d look for my post on the Poorboy`s smorgasbord. I believe I used Master Cut there with a DA.

Also just used it with the new Lake Country wool pad from Autogeek on the Flex 3401. It worked fine.

OP, I absolutely LOVE the Poorboy`s clay lube. It`s great stuff. Smells wonderful. Given it`s price point, it`s not the cheapest out there, so I reserve it for my special jobs

is that non metallic black?

if so you need to pick up Poorboy`s black hole and/or nattys black

i like the mopar

your plate and living in vegas can give a humorous read :)

Dodo Juice Ferro Lube is an iron remover/clay lube "two-in-one" product that is intended to combine the chemical decontamination and mechanical decontamination steps into one. The nasty smell is from the iron remover.

Did you let the product dwell on the paint for a while before proceeding to claying?

I have a bottle of the Ferro Lube but have yet to try it out. The nasty smell should not come as a surprise though...

Thanks! Black hole was actually a really close second choice, but I think the "limited edition" Black Widow wax from Dodo Juice is what won me over. Theres a little spider in there somewhere! Lol!

I always get a kick out of it. I get pulled over bi-yearly or so and that`s a topic of discussion every time. If it a laid back cop he usually gets the reference but if it`s a big headed cop I just tell them I work at the Wild Horse golf course. lol.

Yep! I totally understood that, and actually I have the Ferrous Dueller as well that I use on my wheels that works GREAT. Well, the wheels were super purple the first time I used it so I think it works great. Though when you apply it to wheels I don`t think the smell gets to you quite like it does when you`re literally rubbing your hands in it. I had to throw the clay I used away because it smelled up the whole half of my garage when it was all done and over with. I will for sure continue to use the Ferrous Dueller but I may go a different route with the Ferro Lube.

there may be a spider in there actually....black hole is one of those products you will need if you own a black or dark colored vehicle, especially pitch black color

black hole goes great under some nattys but I`ve topped black hole with lots of things, I`m sure it`d go nicely under the dodo as well
