106FF question

I just got my first order of 106FF and I think I may have gotten a bad batch. I shook the hell out of the bottle for 5 minutes and it still has a very runny consistency. When I went to put it on the pad after my 5 minute shakeathon it literaly just ran out of the bottle without even squeezing the bottle. Looking at the application instructions on autogeek it appears that it should have a very thick consistency. I have used IP and FP in the past and that is the consistency that they had so that lead me to believe something was wrong. If someone could let me know if know if this is normal for 106FF I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

My 106FF isn't like that at all. Mine is pretty thick and will not run out of the bottle, even without shaking. Was your 106ff exposed to freezing temps?

Sounds like there is PO85U in the bottle of 106 or maybe it's RE5

Could of been left transited in a hot area or just be a bad batch

Try putting it in the fridge for a while

Thanks guys I had a feeling that something was wrong here. As for possibility of freezing, well it has been very mild here as of late but it may have forzen during transport to the retailer.

I am having the same problem with my bottle of 106ff. I bought it in septemberish of 08 and it was good and thick then, but i broke it out yesterday and it was runny like soup. There is no warning of any kind on the bottle about storage temps.

Did putting it in the fridge help?

Is it possible the abrasives separated out on the bottom? Most products do this, but you can only see it if they are in clear bottles. Sometimes it's very difficult to get them mixed back up. Try a long (clean) screwdriver down the neck of the bottle to try and stir up the stuff from the bottom, it can get almost like chewing gum depending on the polish.

+1. Sometimes you can shake it all day and nothing happens. *Cough*

I've had to cut a bottle open, scrape everything out, and mix it by hand to get the product back to workable consistency. I have to say, though, that I've never had a problem with any of Menzerna's polishes being too runny. I find that, in general, they're a bit too thick after sitting for a while. Good luck.

I poured out all the polish into a different container. The weird thing is that there was nothing left in the original bottle, it emptied completely clean with virtually no residue.

After a lot of shaking It is still way to runny and i am lost for ideas here.
