105 users. How do you deal with the dust....

I used 105 today for the first time and was very happy with it. My only issue is the ridiculous dusting from the product. I was wiping the whole side of the car down after each panel....

I used it with a PFW pad and a hydro cyan pad followed with 205 and a tangerine hydro pad. The results were outstanding.

Less the dust...

any tips?

Honestly, get all the compounding done, use compressed air for quick clean up and inspection during, then wash the car again. It's faster and more effective than trying to clean it up by hand, and all you need to do it foam it and rinse it off. Follow up with your finish polish and LSP, they shouldn't dust much/at all.

Easiest way is was jono already said, a quick was works best. I would highly recommend a pressure washer to blow it out of the cracks or do a lot of taping to keep it out before polishing then dry with a leaf blower and continue on your marry way without having to touch the paint until you apply your lsp. Just my .02

I always wash the car after. Not only to get the dust off, but to clean all the residue out of cracks and whatnot. A hard stream of water always works great to get dust out of emblems and such.

I´ve found that mixing: 1 part of Optimum Compound with 2 parts of 105 (old formula); get an almost dust free compund with much more working time and no real issues to the power of the 105. Hope this works for you too.
