1000p

Back when I used 1000p, it was incredible on golds, silvers, and pearls. It really makes lighter colors stand out very bright. Top it with 3 coats of PW and it looks superb.

Hey Knuckle Just Joined This Month And Also Hope The Ultima Holds Up In The Jersey Weather. Put 4 Coats On Turkey Day Weekend And Its Blinding. Big Problem Is Down The Shore In The Summer Should I Put It One Once A Month. Have Been Using Glare And Been Happy But This Is So Much Easier. It Seems I Have Been Doing Cars ( Just Friends ) Since Teenager Now Old And Grey. Seems Ultima Is So Much Better For The Paint No Rubbing Or Buffing. Hopes It Holds Up So Far So Good. Looks Better On My Black Audi Than My Silver Commander. Anything Else To Make My Friends Say Wow. Thanks Vae

I like to add coats when I can and suggest you do as well. I always prepare the finish carefully first, but adding coats of Ultima PGP (well...or whatever you like) a day or so apart is a great idea. Unfortunately, when we hit the winter weather in my area I am done with everything except regular washes until spring arrives.

Glare is a great product. I liked it. The UPGP is IMO a far superior product in every way. I am now willing to say that the UPGP durability is better as well. I have switched completely. Gave away my glare.

It is hard to beat the Ultima line. I use clay not Elastrofoam and I like the Adam's towels better but that is about it!

Keep us informed on the thread here to let us know your experiences!!

Thanks!

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Name a product 5 guys love and you can guarantee someone won't like it

Ok, let's try it.

I love Menzerna's SIP!

Whose with me?!?!?

Do you think there is anything special about the Pink Wax in particular that helps the 1000P look better, or do you think any good quality Carnauba would have the same effect?

I have been using fk 1000 for the last few months did my wifes car in november with fk 2180 then with the 1000 x2. it's still beading as of this week beeen five months.

2 layers of 1000P on the engine hood and it stills beads decently. Had it for 4 months with no QDs or boosters.

Yep, they are durable indeed.

Rob, IME, the Pink has a bright look which looks almost chrome-like from flatter angles, but sufficiently warm from others. Don't expect the true, almost yellowish warm look; it looks more neutral than that.

I put a coat of 1000p on my wifes SUV yesterday (after polishing with SIP and 106FF) and I have to say that I am very happy with the results thus far.

The description of giving a thicker clear coat is accurate.

It went on and came off pretty easily, even in a few spots where I put it on too thick.

This tin will last FOREVER!

Rob - how does it compare in look to Opti Seal? IIRC you were impressed by this recently?

Not tried 1000P, or any FK1 products, yet, but always tossing around new options?

thanks

I just added another coat of 1000 to my GF's car, the last coats were back in september and they held up all winter, (MI winter). Wiped down with 425 and tires and wells with 108, FK simply works.

By far, one of my favorite pastes, a few notches above 476s IMO.

14.5 oz for $16 is an outstanding deal as well.
