100% polyester MF waffle weave towels?

I saw some turtle wax waffle weaves at big lots the other night and I noticed that the tag said that they were made from 100% polyester. Should this deter me from buying them? They're extremely cheap but also decently soft..

If they are the ones I'm thinking of they'd work for glass but I'd pass on them for paint. Big Lots has some nice TW MF applicators and wash mitts.
