10 Steps To The Perfect Hand Wash

Actually, "The Perfect Shine" is a trademark of The Perfect Shine, LLC, the owner of this site.

I apologize for using the trademark in error. I did not realize such a simple phrase could be trademarked as it is in use by so many other companies. Nonetheless, when I think of a new name I will change it and post up here.

Sorry for my error.

Va, consider this your final warning regarding your sniping at other members. Next complaint I or any other moderator receives, you will be banned without warning.

I was thinking about that last night. Visual perfection, I think another member has Perfection through reflection. You might be able to get his permission for that.

Nice job I enjoyed the write up very much. 3LG very nice of you to help him I don't have that editing talent. It's guy like you that make this place a nice place to be.

Happy New Year

Well I don't hand wash anymore. I've found that warm 1100 PSI soap at the Pro wash up the road and a rinse is better than a hand wash for my garage queen

THe soap comes out like a snowstorm and you can't see the car for the suds

Fortunately the soap keeps the paint slick, I haven't found any new marks with the lights and I just get out the cheapo orbital, MF bonnet and Aussie's Showroom glaze QD and do the paint, glass and rear spoiler and the car's slicker than a new one and looking deeper and clearer each time with more protection

pretty good explanation. picked up on taking the hose nosel off to rinse. heard about it before and didnt sink in.

thanks, much easier.

as for a name, what about something that isnt hyperbole. i dont know...

Shiny shiny cars?

I always wash/clean the tires and wheels as the first step in my wash process - not after I wash the painted surface. In this way, any brake dust/dirt that goes to the painted surface will get washed off during the actual wash/soap process. Anyone agrees with me on this?

I do wheels/tires last. That way I can use the left over soapy water after washing the body. After that, I still spray the body down again to make sure it's completely clean for the clay process that follows.

I have never had a problem with brake dust/dirt water splashing on the paint. I generally wash my wheels with the water that is left over from washing my paint. Because I wash my car often, the wash is still fairly clean so it is fine to use on my wheels.

How about:

"Holden Pond: The Cleaning Solution"

or, possibly something to show you're a Canadian like myself:

"Keep 'er Clean, Eh"

or something with a historical reference for history buffs:

"I Came, I Saw, I Spritzed"

or a flagrant Toronto reference:

"Go Leafs, Go"

OK, I acknowledge the fact these are all lame, really lame.
