10-sec Teal Green Z28

10-second 1998 Z28...

I did a four-step process on the paint for this one: No interior...

-Claybar
-Polished with Menzerna -M105 to work on deep scratch-
-Blackfire Gloss Enhancer Polish
-Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant

-Wheels: Metal Polish (Mild cleaner)
-Tires: Dynamic Detailing Concourse Tire Gel
-Windows: Blackfire WD

Paint was in pretty decent shape. It had some sanding mark on the drivers' side of the hood, which I corrected, along with a scratch on the passenger's side rear fender. Pics to follow...
The car cleaned real nice, brought the paint back to its originally glistening brightness and then some...

A nasty scratch on rear right side fender (keyed :banghead: ) I tried to improve, but it was too deep to remove 100%...

Yeah, not bad for being 11+ years old.
The owner has taken care of his Camaro real well, but it has never been polished. The paint cleaned up nicely, and BF did the rest :smile:

There aren't many guys who drag race their cars, that keep their vehicles that nice. I always liked that color for a Camaro.

I should've taken some engine shots. The engine bay is fairly clean, not too flashy, it has a Procharger and a Nitrous set-up
My friend was doing some work under the hood right after I finished, and had some parts off the car, so I had to leave and couldn't shoot anything after that.

I'm going to the track this afternoon, he'll be racing tonight, I see if I can take some engine pics and add them later...

And a quick video of the car lifting the front wheels and going 10.49. Red-lit his way out of competition, unfortunately :banghead:
