We busted Ross, he has multiple usernames and is pretending to be people that he is not. Go back and read threads that Boyer Coe, SidB and John Ross have posted in, they are all the same person. Some are really pathetic.



I found that the IP's for John Ross, Boyer Coe and SidB all match. Then Jngr did some serious digging and found even more about this guy.



We have not taken any action yet, I think we are going to wait until David gets back from Florida.

John, I have a topic I need to address with you, and I take it quite seriously. One of the moderators noticed that a number of member accounts had the same IP address. When I did a search on the IP address for owner email address they all came up with the phantomemail.com domain. Looking further, my forum database recorded that the same computer name was used by several member IDs to post messages. In reality, it could be multiple PCs behind a firewall or router.



What concerns me is that I received a PM from a gent a few days ago inquiring about Steph. If it's true that that all of the people using phantomemail.com are related, why would the person be asking me about Steph?



Anyway, I take internet security very seriously, so this finding concerns me. If you know all of the people using the phantomemail.com domain, that's great... if you don't, I'm concerned that someone so close to you in proximity is asking about Steph's (or any other members) whereabouts.



I was hoping you could help me solve this mistery.

I would have flat out asked him; do you have other usernames than John Ross? Perhaps going gentle at first is the best approach, we can always nail his a$$ down the road.



I can't wait to see what kind of response you get.
 
Was it sent through email or PM? Is there a way you will know if he reads it if you sent it though email? Maybe there really is a John Ross out there. We know that Boyer Coe and SidB are in the UK as well as the rest of his dozen identities. John Ross is the oldest member out of all his user IDs so I'm sure you sent it to the right place. This is like that tense moment in a movie before they reveal the true identity of the masked man! LOL I feel like I've been tuned in to "As Autopia Turns" for the last couple days. ;)

I have this at this very instance read my home email. As far as I am aware our immediate family, and very few friends have an account at Phantomemail. These accounts were created by the assistance of Stephanie at the time she had organised my welcome home party, she had also provided information on how to join the site.



I can only recall two occasions when our home and business systems could have been accessed by the users as mentioned, firstly at the welcome home party, from what I remember was for her to get all those close to us to sign her post. Secondly was on Stephs 30th. Our personal contact information has not under any circumstance been distributed to any other third partie (s) under any circumstance.



From my personal interest who wanted to speak to Steph, for what reasons? Have you provided the person with any of her and my own personal information?

So, what next David? We know that's a lie, SidB's last post came from London England, not Victoria Texas. So for him to claim they don't have access to his home/work PC systems is a total joke.



Sounds like a total denial on his part.
 
I want to know who Boyer Coe and SidB are. John supposedly knows them and I would very much like to know who they are. I guess a little more research will have to be done on the dupes. We know they were created from the same computer so all we need to do now is see where their last posts came from. If they came from the same computer then we know he is lying. The SidB and Boyer Coe question needs an answer though.
 
I just noticed something very interesting....SidB changed his e-mail address today at 2002-06-26 10:22:24 Very interesting don't you think? The location box is now empty as well. The IP remains the same.



Just so happens right after David sends an e-mail he changes his info.:rolleyes:



Looks like someone is trying to cover their tracks to me.
 
Boyer and Sid are employees of John's.



I have just finished removing all accounts using the @phantomemail.com domain except Steph Ross'. John himself uses another domain, so does Sid.



John is VERY humble about this and claims he will take action with his staff tomorrow. Meaning, they are not to access Autopia.



I don't know how many more people this will shake out, but I don't think it's over yet.

Okay, I just popped SidB in the head and banned his email and IP. I also banned anyone from the domain phantomemail.com.



Problem taken care of... case not yet closed.

Do you really believe that he knew nothing of this David? Personally I think either he did it himself or he knew about it. Why did he never mention they were employees before? Why all of a sudden did the profile of SidB change out of the clear blue sky?



I am an eternal skeptic, but I don't buy it. He knows more than he is letting on.
 
Brad I agree. I'm trying to prevent a problem before it needs to be one. If this was all "staged" intentionally, it won't end. However, John has built some friendships on the forums. This is like any other "little home town", and you need to know you are dead right before your ruffle any feathers. My motto is always give people enough rope to hang themselves. I'm in no hurry to be tha hangman.
