Guys,



I am contemplating purchasing a car from Los Angeles. I would fly there, make the purchase and drive back to Louisiana. With that being said, I do not want the car to get destroyed on the trip back due to bugs, rocks...etc.



My questions are:

- Masking tape will not destroy the paint on the front bumper is allowed to stay on for 2 days, right? Even if it is in NM/west texas desert heat?

- Is there any other peices to consider covering up and any other way to cover the car up to minimize potential damage?

I know that Griot's garage sells a temporary film that can cover the front. It is called "Mini Roll Surface Protection Film" and about $13/roll on their website. You may be able to get it less elsewhere
