'09 BMW M5, 2-step correction and Opti-Coat/Glass Pro: Rasky's Auto Detailing

Rasky's Auto Detailing
This car belongs to a good client of mine and which was purchased used last year by his father. They were looking to bring the paint back to life and give it some long term protection. As you can see from the pictures there was a good amount of swirls and a few RIDS that needed to be taken care of.


Process:

Wash - Megs Hyper Wash, 2BM, Lambs wool mit
Tires - OPC and Tuf-Shine brush, Hyper Dressing 3:1
Wheels - Sonax FE with various brushes and wash mit, Wheels removed and both faces and barrels were coated with Opti-Coat Pro
Surface prep - Speedy prep towel, Glide for lube
Decon - IronX and Tarminator
Paint correction - HD Adapt beta polish on the Rupes 21 with Megs MF polishing pads followed by HD Polish with yellow Rupes pads.
Coating Prep - Eraser and IPA wipe down
Glass - Clayed, polished with Hyper Polish, IPA wipe down coated with Opti-Glass Pro
Coating - Applied with CarPro micro suede and foam block applicator

Deep scratch on the top of the rear bumper cover...this required some wet sanding

50/50 after HD Adapt!!! Love this stuff!

Black sapphire metallic?? Did u find the paint extremely hard or any trouble? I ask cause I have a 325 coming that is black sapphire.. Don't have any HD adapt though. How was it?

What is the HD Adapt Beta polish. Can you tell me a little more about it.

The paint was definitely on the harder side. No real trouble but deeper RIDS may require an extra polishing cycle or more aggressive combo.

I'm doing fine, been working OT with a promotion at work and working on a little red car that sometime I will post it.....( had to replace windshield ) too!
 
You did a super job. What did you use on the inside of the exhaust tips? Mine have some staining I can't remove. Car looks better than new!
