08 BMW M3 Correction

I cannot belive how warm it is here in Maryland. It was in the 30's last week, and it reached about 65 today. Man, the weather could not be better to detail! The weather is not so great for skiing, but hey, I can just drive my finely detailed car up to the snow.

I just had to share my excitement about the weather. I think that I might even take off early some time this week, just to get a good afternoon detailing session in. Got to love the good weather (I guess this is what it is like in Southern California and Florida all the time, must be nice).

Best regards!

Actually it is hot and muggy here but expected to get into the 40-50's saturday.

For the Superbowl here in N.O. expect rain....and warm again..but it the game is inside the DOME!!!

Happy Mardi Gras

Well that is no good. I am a bit more upset at the fact that I just bought some new skis. A lot of good they are doing me in this weather. I now have to drive up into Northern PA or NY to get snow. Even then, there is not too much snow.

Oh well.

Guess . . . are you going to the Super Bowl? If you are don't forget to take lots of pics!!

Wait I see sunshine! Time to wash!

Tickets are too expensive!

I may go to the quarter for the parties before during and after!

I will be at some parades this weekend as well!!!!

Even warm in upstate New York this time of the year. Been in the low 50's for four or five days. Was going to the local ski resort to go tubing with my son, but all the snow melted during the week.

Wound up washing my vehicle on Saturday, and putting a coat of Blitz over the SG, on Sunday. A very nice break in the middle of winter.

Back to reality on Thursday, freezing rain and snow with temps in the high 20's again. But keep the faith, another 8 weeks, and it's time to get the PC cranked up! I can't wait! Enjoy!

i have a 90 fleetwood, silver with blaok roaster top ,i hard carnuba once a week above32 degree's and fast spray wax daily no matter how cold it is

Completed yesterday evening(11-13-2010) this is a car I have done three times before, but there was a little more of a time gap between cleanings(13 months!!!) and it showed with fallout/bird dropping etching/hard water spotting.

Not a tremendous amount of marring on the finish, but the clearilm(entire front end) was in bad shape. The marring on the paint may have not been severe but the RIDS that were there were pretty deep.

The wash process would consist of two initial foam baths/fallout remover application/wash/clay/and one last foam bath with a good rinse.

Here is the car before the start of the job, the film was marred bad with tree sap and bird dropping etch.

Excuse the pics, my good camera was damaged @ The SEMA show and is being repaired.

Clearfilm on the rear bumper had severe water spot etch, broke out Mark v "Splash" to remove it.

There were three dents on the car, so I called in Chris from Diablo Dent who is the only one I trust on the high end cars I work on.

ZuccarinoBMWJWongBenz11-13-10038.jpg

These dents were in the rear quarter which required removing the entire rear wheel shroud to get the tool into the space so the repair could be done.

Awesome work Bob, attention to detail is your middle name! Always a pleasure to see your work. Thank you for the cards!:notworthy:

Bob,
As usual, your work is amazing. From top to bottom, and from front to back and inside and out, every detail was taken to the limit.
I would expect nothing less from you.
Awesome work!:notworthy:

Beautiful work as usual Bob :drool5: What is Mark v Splash? /:)

It is a fallout remover(heavy duty stuff!!!) I utilize this product in conjunction with aggressive clay step to remove heavy fallout/contamination on paint/glass etc...I wet the car and use a microfiber applicator and rub into the surface multiple times then rinse thoroughtly after each application then I clay.

The combo will take off everything on the paint usually, however the recent M3 job I still had to wool pad compound remaining crud on the finish.

Nice work Bob. I cringe every time I get a call from someone with a Jet Black BMW. I recently did a 335i that had 82 miles on it and was a complete mess. More a product of the extremely soft paint than anything else.

Andy

Bob,

Stunning finish to a perfect detail!

How wonderful to have a lift to raise the vehicle up so you dont have to practically lay on the ground to work the lower panels and underside.

Your experience and technique put you at a level we all hope to reach.

Perhaps someday, you would be in a position to teach/mentor, etc., a class or perhaps a few lucky individuals.

Thanks so much for the time you took after all the previous events you participated in, to post this up for us !
