Time 2 shine

This camry belongs to my mother and about a week ago i offered to wash it for her ( it was really dirty and i cant let my mom roll like that). Anyway once i had cleaned it the results where not what i had expected, very dull and almost a none reflected surface on most horizontal panels and continued down the vertical panels that were still pretty bad, but not as bad. This needed to be fixed so i told her to let me have the car for the weekend so here goes my process and tools used.
Car was washes using two bucket method and grit guards with dawn concentrate and optimum car wash. A third bucket with optimum car wash was used along with megs APC 10:1 to clean all door jams. Megs APC 5:1 on tires and wheel wells. Car was then dried with Microfiber HD guzzler and then pulled into the garage. Clayed with blue magic fine clay with 3oz of ONR in a 32oz bottle and rest filled with water as clay lube.Car was then taped up where necessary with 3m blue painters tape.
Starting with least aggressive i worked my way up to using a LC Purple foamed wool pad with M105. Although the LC orange pad worked well the PFW pad was correcting more RIDS but it didn't really show up well on camera. After compounding i did a IPA wipe down (wanted to wash but it was rainning out). Polishing was then done with M205 on a white pad
and then wash and dried before applying a coat of BFWD with a black pad. Opti bond tire gel diluted 1:1 was applied to the tires using a yellow applicator pad.
All work was done with my Flex 3401 a 4 3/8 backing plate and 5.5 inch pads. Compounding was done on speed 6 and polishing on 4-5. I finished just as the sun was going down so i didnt get any good ones in the sun but you get the idea. Trust me its night and day difference.
