I happend to park next to, Yes, I said park next to one in the parking lot where I work...awesome cars but can't for the life of me wonder why someone would park a $60k+ (I assume?) car in a public parking lot not out of the furthest spot possible...this one could have used your handy work too Mike. Nice job on this black beauty.

Around here, If you park far away, you will DEFINITELY get keyed, slashed, windows broken out, or any number of other automotive crimes. If you park in the crowd, the most you'll get a door ding.

If the car is that valuable to me, I just wouldn't drive anywhere Id have to park it for a long time.

i see them in the first door pic too.. either way the black looks really deep and wet. how did you feel about thoes crappy stripes by ford? its basically just a slapped on sticker. i was suprised when i saw the quality of it at the local dealers showroom

they aren't under the CC?

I detail a couple black Mustangs on a periodic basis (one's a Shelby too), and I just think you can't beat Ford's paint - if you look at all the cars out there, judging via black paint, Ford has less orange peel than any of the other production cars...and to me, that's huge.

Regarding the Halograms, could be a little wax/sealant streaking...sometimes those oils get the best of you and you can see the streaks in whichever direction you run the towel.

You're right about the stripes. They are garbage. I hate the way Ford does all of their stripes from the factory. I was especially displeased with the way the GT500 stripes looked. On the front bumper, you can tell where they overlap the pieces of stripe. Very shoddy work.

As for the detail, the car looks amazing.

Great work! I have a customer who had one in red with white stripes. I only laid my hands on it twice and the last time was before it was shipped out to LA to be put on a ship to Australia :(

From what I understand Shelby is producing 2 tuner version of this car. One has 600 hp from shelby the other has 750 hp from shelby.

Andrew

Very nice, but I would disagree on one statement. Having looked and sat in one of the Shelbys, I would say that my interior (2004 Cobra) is on par or a little better, IMO. Now, compared to a GT, I would agree. And, with the high cost/markup I would hope it is light years ahead.

Those aren't holograms, that is "wax" streaking.... Probably not visible to the eye but with a short F-stop and auto focus, they suddenly become visible. Second, the car looks absolutely amazing and IMO, its another home run for the master.

Thanks for sharing!

my gt500 is white and blue stripes...do you clay bar the stripes? and do you use different combo for light colors.

I did clay the stripes...just be mindful of the decal edges.

Yes...I would use a different LSP for a lighter color.

Looks incredible Mike!

That is one sweet looking Stang.

I can tell by the picture that it is not a hologram. Some cameras will do that. Could it be that the paint is just a little oily from the Carnauba Moose? It almost looks that way.

Anyways, killer job on the detail!!!!!

This is what I was going to say. This is why I got away from carnuaba's and went to Zaino. I used to hate that look the oily carnuaba's would always leave on my black cars especially when the sun was low.
