Tell me about it... I got pulled over by a state trooper the FIRST day I had properly detailed it this spring after the rough, rough winter... in fact, it was the first day with temps above -30*F in 2 months. He was like "in WI it's state law to have a front plate, I suggest you take some chicken wire and wrap it around the front grill there"... yeah... right in front of the intercooler.. NOT! Anyway, I realized that if I got pulled over again, it'd be about $150 ticket and I classify getting a ticket for that as a "dumb ***" ticket because it's something I could easily avoid (and I'm not a dumb ***).



I just really hate that State troopers and cops in general in WI let BMWs, Corvettes, and even Mazda Miatas drive past with no front plates without any hitch but as soon as the Evo drives past with no front plate *lights flashing* Discriminating against my car? maybe.. maybe not... oh well... at least I got some nice Evo personalized plates on the way from the D.O.T.

When I lived in Wisconsin I got a ticket for no front plate. I think the guy was mad because I was on the brakes before he could get a lock on my speed (70 in a 55). I have a buddy who runs an E46 BMW with no front plate in Milwaukee; he's had no trouble so far.

Love the car and what you did to the paint. Mitsus will be my cars for the next several purchases, can't wait till the Evo X comes to Canada in 2008. Is yours Nacres Blue ?
