06 Mercedes SL500 by Esoteric Auto Detail

Outstanding! I've come to really enjoy your posts, and I'm a fan of your photography as well as your detailing. Great knack for framing the shot - both literally, as well as with your post-processing work. :D

What a beautiful car. I love that color, as well as the fact that (in the bay area at least) it's fairly rare. Wonderful machine, and I'm sure the owner is ecstatic.

dsms...thank you my friend!!

connorb850...thanks. It's a unique color, and I really liked it...especially after polishing it!

VroomVroom...very kind words indeed, and I truly appreciate it. A few of the outside shots got touched up just a hair to reduce some of the overexposure, but other than that I don't do any kind of post processing on the photos (other than to reduce size and add the borders).

Todd,

Once again beautiful work.

Let me know when you have something really interesting to detail and if you don't mind me stopping by to watch a fellow autopian at work.

- Andy

Thanks Andy! Nope, you can't watch, but I'll be glad to put you to work! :)

Thanks Barry. I've always been interested in photography, but I really started to learn a lot more with detailing!

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Fantastic work, Todd.

That last hood shot...."Reflection & Wetness"...one of the BEST photos I've ever seen on Autopia! No joke.

What's your April and May look like? I need to head up.

Andy...sounds like a plan!

Casey...Other than taking the Easter weekend off, I'm booked for the next two months in advance. So I'm sure we can come up with something. Again, thank you for the compliments as well (yeah, I liked that shot too!)

Bob...thank you kindly! Renovating the garage over the winter has made a huge difference in both presentation and organization. A clean, well-organized work space does help tremendously. And yes, he was very happy with the work.

Thomas...thank you very much. As you know, a color like this is nice because it doesn't show many flaws, but it's difficult to get the "wow factor" with it. When I was finished though, it almost glowed in comparison. My wife looked at it when I was able to pull it out in the sun, and she said it looked like a jewel. That comment made me feel good. :)

Good to know. Let me look at my schedule and I'll let you know what works.

Do you have any really cool cars booked? You know, like a McLaren F1. Haha.

I've got a really wicked Yugo on the books for ya! :)

Fantastic work my friend!

I always enjoy reading your thread.

So much description, I really like that. It helps guy like me that is at the beginning level.

Thank you for sharing this with us Todd, I personally really apprecite it.

=)

Nice work! I got a question for you though if you dont mind. Whats the wheel brush that you used that bends to get behind the rims? How soft are the bristles on it? Basically what is the brush and how do you like it?

Thanks. I believe I bought that one from Detailer's Domain. It's pretty soft, but stiff enough to clean the tough stuff. It's a straight brush, but I bent it. I've been using it since last year and am plenty happy with it.
