Beautiful car... sexy as hell but the Ivory leather is going to be a pain to keep clean.

Any suggestions on cleaning and caring for the leather surfaces?

Thanks a ton!

Anthony

You need a leather cleaner and conditioner. There is no "right" product for this. There are plenty of good cleaners and conditioners out there, and different people will recommend different products. I like Pinnacle's Leather Cleaner/Conditioner, and 1Z Lederpflege. Both are 1-step cleaners and conditioners.

Apply the product with a MF applicator, and then remove with a MF towel. Pretty simple.

I use water and Woolite (the regular laundry version) cut at 6 parts water, 1 part Woolite to clean leather and vinyl. I've done a few of those ivory white Jag interiors and it works very well. A good name brand leather conditioner will work well to keep the leather conditioned.

Yep, what Scott said. I have heard from a representative from Meguiar's and Chemical Guys(both sell one step products and multi step products) that's it's better to have a cleaning step and a protection step. Woolite and water is a very good cleaning step and will save money on that step. As far as protection, well there are tons of them. You like a matt look or more glossy?

Its best to use a separate soap-based cleaner, followed by a quality conditioner.

I believe Woolite is soap-based, as are many wool shampoos...you'll need to check.

Although the newer prestige leathers are lightly clear-coated, they do benefit from a non-silicone conditioner.

Hey SpoiledMan,

The original finish is matte and I prefer to keep it that way. What suggestions do you have for maintaining that look?

Thanks!

Hey Scottwax,

Thanks for the suggestion on the Woolite. Worked very well.

Just wondering if there is any residue or soap that soaks into the leather that I should be worried about. Meaning, what should I do after cleaning with the Woolite mixture beside wiping it with a clean damp MF cloth?

Anyone?

Thanks!

Just rewipe with a damp cloth-should remove any residue left and then protect with a quality leather conditioner.

A great OTC leather conditioner is the spray version of Turtle Wax's Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. Soaks in very quickly, very light sheen, nice leathery scent and it won't clog the holes in ventilated seats.

I actually ordered some Zaino Z10 today because of recommendations I've read from others on this board as well as other boards. Most say it conditions well and has a wonderful leather smell to it without discoloring your leather or changing the appearance.

Hope it works well.

Additionally, I'm considering a PC purchase with the current 25% off coupon offer. Not sure where to start or which (if any) of the Sonus kits (which include the PC) to buy. So many different pads it's a bit confusing. Even after reading the information on the Autopia site, I still can't decide which kit would benefit me the most.

I have a brand new vehicle with paint that is in very good condition so I would mostly use it for the polishing benefits, I presume. I'd probably also like to be able to get small scratches (spiderwebs, etc.) out if they occur. Any input from the PC gurus? :)

Thanks!

Anthony

I love the Zaino Z-9 and Z-10 products but have Leather Stuff from Poorboys on order. I'll try to post a review.
