I couldn't find the click and unbrag section so I figured I would post it here. I apologize in advance for nottaking the same photos before/after...I think I have 1 set. It was my first time using Menzerna which I really liked except the dusting...pretty friggin bad dusting. I started another thread with asking for some feedback as I wasn't super excited throughout. I thought or hoped it would have come out better. It's an 06 with under 200 miles and the dealer royally screwed up the prep (I have never seen that before on here! LOL)

All the pics are prior to FMJ and Nattys Blue, nothing was dressed...basically just worked on the paint. Feel free to add any comments/suggestions. I am sure the more I use the Menzerna the better I'll get at it....anyway....

Process:

Wheels & Tires (Castrol APC on tires) Detailing Dynamics Wheel Shampoo on wheels

Wash (Mothers Gold - not the greatest but the car was going to get clayed n polished so I cheaped out)

Debadge SUBARU & Impreza emblems (Logo is bolted on for 06!)

Clay (Detailing Dynamics clay bar with new wash soap as lube)

Wash again

Dry with leaf blower and Griots waffle weave

Polish:

Hood and Trunk - IP with cyclo yellow pads

IP with cyclo orange pads (entire car)

FP with green (should have went with IP Green then FP white or green I think)

Menzerna Glaze by hand

FMJ by hand (Easiest product I have ever used - SIMPLY AMAZING)

HGAS

Nattys Blue

Unfortunately it got too dark for pics post FMJ-Nattys. I'll take some this weekend after a wash n another coat of natty's.

Can't remember if I was polishing the hood or what since the dust was evident!

And the afters:

Nice pic here with the hood curve

I believe this one is post IP prior to FP. My truck is the beater that needs some attention BAD!

Again, I'm not super excited, I expected better results. But nothing a lil more experience won't cure. Just need the wheel time! Plus it was the first polishing of the new season. Had to brush off the cobwebbs! LOL

Only 200 miles and it looked like that? Honestly, you shouldn't have accepted the car, IMO.

Menzerna polishes are terrific but they do dust. Try cutting back a little on the amount you use and running the pad (with the PC running) over your hand every couple of panels to knock the dust out.

The paint looks really good from what I can see after your polishing steps. What exactly aren't you happy about?

Whoaaaaaaaaaaa major thanks especially coming from you.

Unfortunately, against my urges, my parents/sister picked up the car at night. The next day I went over it and it didn't look bad at all. After a few weeks....DOH swirl city. I am guessing they used a quick one step with fillers before delivery.

As far as not being happy, in person it looks like I may not have polished enough or something because I still see .....i wanna call it pitting, basically if you compare a brand new windshield to one that's say 5 yrs old. Those lil dots on the older one from sand/tiny rocks that ruins the nice clean vue....now after polishing it wasn't that bad but I still would have liked it to come out clearer. I don't think the pics accurately reflect that.

I tried getting pics of the flake, but I am not the best at taking pics.

wow - u zaino converted yet

Well, not just yet. I still want to see how this holds up. Since my sisters car stays outside, we shall see soon enough. Not to mention, the more time I spend on here the more I realize that there is no 1 product for everything. Everything has it's place ya know, cuz I need more confusion! LOL

Looks much like mine did, especially after winter. Came with the nice dealer installed swirl marks too...which I didn't notice until a few months later.

I took most of the swirls out with ZPC but it wasn't enough to take out some of the linear scratching; I figured I'd try the IP/FPII combo next...I just can't decide if I want to polish again or wait until fall/spring before doing it.

I noticed the pitting in the paint as well...in addition to some nice rain etching :shocked

I've been curious to see how the Natty's turned out on a black Impreza, I went with Zaino for durability but I may decide to use that as a winter sealant and go with another combo for spring/summer.

Whew, not that I'm happy you guys have the pitting issue too, I'm just glad it wasn't me or whatever that couldn't get it out. I was seriously thinking "***" to myself! I have never seen that on a car before let alone a new. I expecdted that to come right out. It almost appears as though the clearcoat was "boiling" as it dried but to a much smaller degree.

I will wash it and apply another coat of Natty's this weekend and post up some more pics. The main reason for topping with Natty's was because I didn't my sister using all my HGAS! LOL

Thanks for the feedback, it is greatly appreciated!
