06 Carrera S

While on holiday in California I stayed with my uncle who had a new 06 Carrera S which needed a small detail. So I popped down to a local car parts place and picked up a selection of Megs goods at some very low prices.

The car was already very clean and had no swirls / cob webbing even under direct sunlight so there is no before. The process was.

Two buckets with Megs Gold class and supreme wash mitt.
Dried with a WW towel.
Wheels cleaned with stronger mix gold class and Megs wheel brush

I then clayed the car which it didn’t really need but it did remove a few stubborn dried insects and odd tar mark.

Re-washed and rinsed the car down (same method as before) the water pressure over there was great which I had taken my SS gun.

I then used Megs stage 2 deep crystal polish with Megs even coat applicator and then removed with Megs MF.

Then a single coat of Megs #7 and removed with Megs MF.

Then x2 coats of Megs tech Wax removed with Megs MF.

All plastics treated with Plastic x for some minor scratches and removed with a good quality MF.

Tyres treated with a very thin layer of Megs trim detailer and buffed off to a matt finish. Wheels had x1 coat NXT wax and x2 coats of Mothers spray Wax.

Exhaust tips clayed and then treated to some American metal polish (can’t remember the name)

Inside hoovered and wiped down, glass cleaned and buffed with a glass MF cloth.
Just finishing off the wheels

The worst thing was on one side there was bird lime just left on the drivers door!

Any comments welcome.

Nice work!!:bigups

#7 can be a bit tricky to work with, but it's one great glaze for waxes that's for sure! In the sun, that metallic should be popping out like mad!!

I see the owner also has the sport chrono and a sport steering wheel. But no sport exhaust, oh well.

You probably found out that the new Porsche paint is soft. And the new "lobster" wheels can be a bit of a pain, but not as bad as sport wheels.

From another Porsche C2S owner... GREAT JOB!!:rockon

Deanski

Very nice job on the Porsche! What type of dealership was that? The Veyron is amazing and the Gallardo and Continental GT aren't slouches either. There's also what looks to be a Ferrari(maybe a 360) and a Lotus Elise or Exige in the lot. I can't tell you how lucky you are to see the Veyron in person. It's currently the fastest production car in the world with a top speed of over 250 mph!

With a car in the showroom with a price tag of a little more than $1 million, I would hope there is some money in that area.

I lived in that area and worked in the silicon valley (san jose) for years...The area that I think this guy is in boards up to the valley in the hills...very expensive real estate there, coupled with some great cars!

Is anyone seeing the MFs on the concrete floor?

That a foam pad that is used in gardens while you are kneeling...I have one that I never use as I hate moving it around while I am working
