05 pilot - z2pro

Well I finally uploaded these from my digital camera. Process was simple really.

Wash with gold class

Clay with sonus

z6 wipedown

3 coats of z2pro/zfx with z6 wipe in between each coat

eimann fabrik black opal on tires (OLD stuff, my personal favorite)

this car in my opinion needed no polishing and I wasn't going to if I didn't have to :)

ignore the dirty fenders and a few other loose ends :) i love the hood shot, very wet!

thanks!

thanks guys i really appreciate it!

series1 - i too love the tire dressing. unfortunately, i don't think they make it anymore. proper auto care used to carry it, and now they have two eimann fabriks, but not the one i have. i must say, the durability is pretty poor on it. however, no sling, i like the look, easy to use is the trade off :)

That's one nice looking silver Pilot. Wet, reflective and a strange characteristic for silver - apparent depth.

Nice work!!

thanks, I was really surprised with how it came out for silver. i've used z2pro on white and red as well, and both come out just as wet. i think in my gallery i have some pro on white...

There is something about a good silver paint job and Z-2 Pro that go together. Zaino is a great product but it works especially well on silver for some reason....probably the high level of clarity compared to carnaubas...

P.S. Z-2 Pro holds up well. ;) The most durable sealant I have used. I just got back from a trip to the mountains over a few gravel roads and the finish looks amazing even after an overnight stay.

Wow, does look nice. Now I know what to use on my two silver Honda's. BTW, did you have any water spots prior to waxing?

Looks great, I'd like to know how the Z2-Pro holds up.

I have 3 coats of Z2pro on the beater, they where applied after clay back in oct. I did not have a PC then so thats all it got. I work at the airport so the car sits in that enviroment 4-5 days a week. It is still beading very well and feels slick.

durability is awesome on this stuff, i have had several cars with pro. however they are garaged at night so it may not be the best test.

ellssuu - no waterspots

scottwax - thanks, it means a lot coming from a pro!

gm, johnny, silver, thanks as well.

looks pretty lame

Is this some new saying that means it looks good...why would you say it looks lame?

Edit: The Pilot looks great by the way, love the reflections and wetness the paint has...It's been a long time since I used Zaino...I used it last on my firebird way before autopia and never did any prep except wash....I should definately give it a go now. Your results are awesome

thanks joshua!

LJ, what's your reason for calling the hard work of another Autopian Lame?? Personally, I think the person who did the work did an excellent job on a very difficult color to get any reflectivity from.

Prinz,

He has his feelings hurt from another thread. All the posts have been deleted though.
