Nice work. I guess a person should not throw away the ol' orbital just yet, huh? :) I can't imagine working on that motor, though. Very tight quarters.

It's made by Honda. I don't imagine it needs much work.

Great work Josh! You took the time to do it right and it shows.

The first time I saw an NSX on the road I was driving a crappy old Sentra that I bought cheap while I painted my Scirocco. This guy passed me with two absolutely HOT chicks in the passenger seat. After all these years it's still a great looking car.

Josh, You truly performed a concourse level detail here.

Congrats on the perfection!

Thanks for taking the time to shoot all the pics and post here. I know how long that takes.

Thanks Bryan, I love doing this type of detailing, it really puts our skills to use as well as is a good challenge. I always seem to learn something new when I do a job like this one.:2thumbs:

Was it $950 USD?

You didn't say anything about guessing!

That's a good one. Funny. The answer is........well I guess you could just check my website and see what I charge per hour for a "show quality" detail.

No not $950:grinno:

Thanks, I just got back tonight and it will take me a few days to get all the pics centered and downloaded and such. I probably won't post all of them up. Only one was a full polish 9 hour job the rest were mainly clay and seal jobs, but they all turned out great.

Total cars detailed:

Sat. 08 BMW 335i, 06 Porsche Caymen

Sun. 08 Escalade (4 days old), 08 Z06

Mon. 06 CLS55 AMG (full polishing)

Tues. 05 S55 AMG, 07 Porsche 911 Turbo, 98 Porsche Carrera

Pics will be later this week or next.....or sometime in the future whenever I have time to...

Thanks, I like to try to respond to each person, but I've been out of town for a few days and there's just too many to respond to, it would take up 3 more pages easy......:faint:

JoshVette,

What did you use to clean the tires? Is there some sort of dressing on there as well?

The rims and tires were cleaned with a bucket of dawn soapy water and soft bristled brush. After they dried I treated the tires with Meg's Hyper Shine 2.5:1 ratio and the rims have been cleaned and waxed with Zaino AIO.

One of the reasons I like Meg's Hyper Shine so much is you can cut it with water to produce more or less shine as you desire as well as it's not a wet slick looking shine, just a nice clean dark shine.

Holy shiny Batmobile :wow:

that is incredible - attention to detail and then some. Having worked on black Honda R's I know just how soft the paint can be :furious:

....and what a stunning car in that colour as well.

Amazing work Josh, the finish is superb!

Do you always wear a mask for polishing or is it just certain products?

Thanks, I have started wearing a mask for full correction and swirl removal jobs. It's really not healthy to breath in the powder produced by the different polishes breaking down. Especially in a closed garage like I was for a lot of the time...

Have you experienced any tire browning with that product? Whenever I used to use that tire foam stuff, it always turned brown after a week or so.

I use Meg's Hyper Shine 2.5:1 ratio on my personal cars as well and I have not noticed the tires turning brown after it wears off. They still get dirty and can show the dirt, but I know the browning you're refering too and no I haven't noticed them turning brown.

It's a water based dressing, I'm not sure about the tire foam whether it's oil based or not, I think it is just based on how slippery it looks afterwards.
