'05 Mustang GT and '07 Ford Edge

I did these 2 cars on Saturday - both belonged to the same person (couple). The Mustang hadn't had a lot done to it, and needed a bit of work....

Now to the exteriors....

I washed with NXT soap, and clayed with the white Meguiar's clay....

Befores...

There was no sun out yet, and the owner didn't have halogens, so this was the best I could do at capturing defects (befores)...

Now to the correction....

I used Meguair's 83 at 1500 rpm with a yellow Meguiar's pad, followed by Ultrafina with the blue Ultrafina pad at 1500 rpm. After I started polishing, the sun came out. After checking my test spot in the sun, I proceeded to do the entire car with the 83 / UF combo. Here are some pics of the car after polishing, with no LSP. The owner and I inspected every inch of it in the sun after polishing before I put the LSP on....

We moved it back into the garage, and here is a reflection shot - again, with no LSP om at this point...

Now for the afters...

I used NXT 2.0 as the LSP. Meguiar's #20 was used on the wheels, and Meguiar's #40 was used on the tires and wheel wells. I forgot to mention earlier that the interior was wiped down with Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer...

Now to the Ford Edge....

The Edge was 3 months old. NOTHING had ever been done to it - luckily the dealer never touched it. The owner said it had been bird bombed. We inspected every inch of it for etchings, and marked them with blue painter's tape. I then pulled out the PC with Orange LC orange pad, and hit the etchings with Poli-Seal. This combo corrected the etchings on the soft Ford paint. I then switched to a 6.5" LC white pad, and Poli-Sealed the rest of the car. It was topped with Collinite 845. I was running out of daylight (this was done after the Mustang, so the pictures aren't very good, and the tires/wells hadn't been dressed yet)...

Nice turn around on the Mustang. The Edge looks great. I love the PS/Collinite combo!

Thanks - I am really liking the Optimum products - especially now that I have realized less is more.

csimian - I used a Mr Clean Magic Eraser, dampened with a little bit of alcohol.

The mustang and edge both look great. I'd like to know what you used on the trim to get rid of the wax too.

Thanks for the compliments guys - I used a Mr Clean Magic Eraser, dampened with alcohol to remove the old wax from the black trim.
