Here is my MCS, it has 16,000 un-garaged miles on it. Process: wash (p21s), clay (griots), AIO, SG, SG, Sonus Acrylic Glanz. 303 on black items, stoners on glass.

And here is my 1986 325, 200,000 miles, original paint, many many hours spent on this car:

I put another coat of SG on the mini for the winter, and I plan on topping it with collonite 476 or the IW.

both look great..200,000 is amazing for the look of the bmw...Mini's seem to shine sooo damn nice!!!Great job!

Very nice. Both reds look really wet with SG.

Both cars look really well taken care of.

Thanks guys!

I should have specified - I did not use AIO and SG on the BMW. I found some information a while ago about how polymers and oxidizing german paint don't mix, and it scared me. I have no idea how true it is, but nevertheless, the BMW is always treated with 3M hand glaze, swirl remover, or p21s paintwork cleaner (which is not effective on oxidation at all) and topped with Blitz.

wow, those two cars look amazing! i heard that that generation of 3 series is the most reliable generation ever, no wonder it has 200000 miles!

 Mini but the BMW is just incredible! Absolutely beautiful, especially with it being a nearly 20-year-old car!

Yea, you are right. Especially the e30 ETA engine cars, like the one pictured, just keep up with scheduled maintenance and the thing is pretty much bullet-proof. It hit 200,000 and the original clutch went :D

Great job on both and kudos for just keeping a car for 200,000 miles. Most people don't have the love or the patience.

BTW, I like the color/stripe combo you chose on the MCS. I work next door to a Mini dealer and I can truly say that I have not seen that combo before.
