'05 MazdaSpeed Miata

Here are some pictures of my car. It's a 2005 MazdaSpeed Miata with about 25k miles on it. I bought it used nearly two years ago. As you'll see, it needs some touch-up paint and paintless dent removal service. The whole front clip could use a respray too!

I'll start off with the good shots, and end with three problem shots. Note the Red X for clarification :D

I like taking shots at night:

I put this dent in the car getting in one day :nixweiss

Talk about salt and pepper!

Thanks for the suggestion Gianni. I'll tackle those chips one day, but I mentioned a resrpay because the lower splitter has been scraped on cement stops/curbs.

You don't know how many times I painted my front bumper because of the same issue on my 04 GTO. I was thinking about removing the bumper and spraying some line-x right under the chin so the scrapes didn't look that obvious.

That's a great idea! I think the matte black finish would look cool too. Almost like an after market carbon fiber piece.

Wow. I have to say, I never really liked that Lava Orange color until I saw these pictures. Looks amazing here though, really vibrant, great work! Mind me asking what you used on it (wax, etc.), and what camera those pictures were taken with?

Makes me miss my MSM...'04 Titanium Gray that got totalled about a month ago. And yes, the gray color does blend into everything. Hard to make the car stand out when it's that color and has such clean lines.

That sucks about your MSM. I'm afraid I'm going to have to sell mine because of poor money management on my part. We'll see.

As to your other questions, I washed it 2BM with Meguair's Gold Class, clayed it with their clay bar kit, then put two coats of their Gold Class paste wax. All over the counter from Advanced Auto here in Austin.

And the camera wasn't mine, I borrowed it from work (I work at a software company catering to photographers). It's a Nikon D3 with a 35-70mm f2.8 lens (the lens is mine). Man I love that body, but at around 5 grand...you'd better!
