Hello everyone once again. This time around, I detailed an '05 Elise that had the same, Chrome Orange pearl-effect paint, but with more signficant swirls that I did not capture well with my camera beforehand. Interestingly enough, the clearcoat on this one seemed much harder then on the Exige S I did a few days ago. Nevertheless, the owner actually had some AIO and SG, which the owner knew nothing about. I have used AIO often, but never SG, and the owner wanted "long-term protection," so I offered to use the AIO and SG, and the owner said "yes." I even offered to buy these two products from him as I am low on AIO and SG would be nice to have. Initially, he said yes to this too, but after the results, he refused to let go of the products. I was surprised at the ease of application of SG. It seemed quite easy to me, I don't know why alot of people complain about this. I tried my best to spread the product as thin as possible. The car itself is just what I want...a stripped down car with just the sports package, no touring, meaning the lightest possible weight. I got to drive it around it was great fun as usual! I wish to get one in a couple of years. Well, here is the process and the end results (sorry for the repeat pictures, but I tried a variety of different lighting scenarios to try to capture the paint. Swirls were certainly there in the start, but I pretty much removed all of them):

-Wheels cleaned with S100 gel cleaner
-OHC and Edge yellow pad w/PC
-AIO and Edge green pad
-SG by hand
-rubber trim dressed with 303 Aerospace protectant
-Wash
