That is alot of work on the porsche. EC/OP on SS paint? It looked pretty bad but they must of been real deep like you said.

It would be so hard to own a car like that GT and only put 2500 miles on it in two years. :chuckle:

Those look amazing. Great photos as well. That Porsche polished out perfectly. Very wet and glossy on both.
 
I appreciate the amazing talent and the stamina involved, especialy on the Porsche. Seeing renewals like this keep me from getting cocky when I have one turn out nice.
 
Amazing work! I hear ya on the non-single stage paint, some of them can be a ridiculous pain.
 
Favorite pic of the bunch, brings back such great memories.......of wishing I owned one. :chuckle:

Thanks for the comments. Both cars were great and presented their own challenges when polishing. After spending 24 hours of detailing in two days, it took a toll on my back. lol
 
Top notch work on a couple of beauties. I noticed you use the orange pads for correction work instead of the softer more open cell cutting pads. Personally I use the orange pads over the yellow pads as well with the rotary. I find they cut faster and leave a much better finish behind, although they tend to be a little firm at first.

I used the orange cut pad because I find the yellow cut pads are more aggresive and less felxible. Yellow does tend to leave more marring behind, so I usually reserve those for pretty bad swirls in hard paint. I did try the polishing pad with EC at first but simply did not have enough cut to get rid of the swirls. The first hour of polishing the Porsche was very frustrating trying to figure out the right combination of pads/polishes that worked on the finish to produce the results I wanted.
