05' Acura RSX Type S

I finally got around to tackling the gf's Acura. This was my first go on a multiple stage correction. Results were decent, but not great. Most of the light swirls were taken care of, but some of the deeper stuff still remains. I think the issues was that I must not have worked the SSR 2.5 in long enough. The biggest place you can notice is on the fenders. I did the pass. side before, and on the driver's I slowed my passes and applied a little more pressure. All and all though, I am def pleased with the results, I'd still consider it an acceptable turn round for more or less a first timer. The weird part was as I was doin the 2.5 it didn't seem to be havin that much affect, since the iso alcohol was smearing so badly, but after I ran the SSR 1, and got all the residue off, I was pleasantly surprised.

My Process was:
Dawn wash and clay and dry
SSR2.5 on an orange pad
SSR1 on a white pad
Black Diamond applied by hand
EX-P applied by hand (2 coats)
Natty's Blue applied by hand (2 coats)
Sonus polish and steel wool on exhaust tip

Enjoy! NOTE: WHEEL WELLS AND WAX CREASES HAVE SINCE BEEN CLEANED :notme:

I know, I know!!! I need to get some halogens...the hand held doesn't quite cut it!

As always, any tips or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated! :bow

Thanks for lookin! :thanks

Thanks!!! I was actually wanting to ask you about the 2.5. Bein that my first experience was with a silver car I didn't get a very good feel for what to look for on the polish breakdown. I noticed at first the polish kinda had a white color, and the more you worked it in, it just looked like a haze on the car...is that what I should be lookin for, or is there more to it. Like I said you can see in the pass. side fender pics where the deeper scratch didn't come out. Do you think I didn't work it in long enough, used too much or too little, just didn't push hard enough, or a combination of things?

Thanks in advance!

The more I scrolled, the more confused I got about what color the car was. Went from black, to purple-ish to blue and back to black- all relevant to the intensity and direction of the light source. Good job on the correction. Even if there were some difficult scratches to remove it still looks like a different car.

Looks very nice ... you don't need halogens, just the sun to come out

+1, my paint inspection is solar powered.
