04 Rallye Red Civic Si

Just got this car on Saturday, decided to give it a go and get her cleaned up.



Didn't extract the seats or carpets yet in the interior, just did a general clean up.



Exterior was unusually hard and non Honda esque.. Went with an Edge yellow pad with M105 via rotary, followed with Optimum Compound on a white CCS pad, then Optimum Polish on a black finishing pad, both with the rotary as well. Didn't get everything out, but it'll do.

question, it had hard paint? that is very interesting.....

let me clarify why I think its an ugly color. these pictures almost look orange/red and I just dont care for the color.

However in the other pictures most notable this one, the shade shot looks very interesting, and I like this shade of red. But when the light hits it, it looks weird...

oh well, didn't mean to be uh....mean or something, but you do great work and :bigups on the clean up and a honda with hard paint

Note the OP's location. The canadian body styles vary from what we see in the US. In the states the 04's were hatches IIRC.

The Canadian Si is your EX, and your Si is our SiR here.

^ it's too bad some people can't keep their opinions to themselves; there's nothing wrong at all with that color - there's good reason as to why it helps resale value.



anyway, I thought this looked oddly familiar to the EX model.



not to be a buzzkill, but it looks like the passenger side interior could still use a bit more attention.

Yeah I know, I only vacuumed it, wiped everything down and cleaned out all the cracks. Haven't done any extracting yet, and I sat on that seat before I took the pic so I got it dirty again hahaha. Doesn't really bother me right now, its rainy and nasty out, and its only my car, so it'll survive till the sun comes out to play

Honda paint are pretty soft so the scratches will come off easier. Overall great job. Got the same red civic but 2005.

I wish man! This one was the most un-Honda like Honda Ive polished hahaha. Even edge yellow wool and M105 wasn't taking out all of the defects. Oh well.
