04 Pontiac "Black Tiger" GTO Detail (LONG)

1 Clean WS6

Detailing Rottweiler
Hello all!!

What a treat this was!! This car was designed and built by my long time friend (I've known him since before I had hair on certain parts of my anatomy) Bille Lawler. He was the former lead technician at GMMG, Inc. (www.gmmginc.net) and now works at Carl Black Pontiac, GMC, Hummer here in Roswell, Georgia. He is the owner (and builder) of the GMMG ZL1 Supercar #6 that I profiled a detail on this forum back in May. He is also the man who has turned every wrench on 1 Clean WS6. He is as meticulous a mechanic as I am a detailer. What I do with my PC this man does with an air wrench...an Autopian mechanic if you will. Anyhow...this is the very first prototype of a package for the GTO which will be sold through Carl Black Pontiac. Yes, that is a FUNCTIONAL shaker hood/ram air set-up and the heat extractors are totally functional as well. As I detailed the car I asked him to wright down what he would like me to say verbatum about the car. All inquiries should be directed as he has listed (unless it's about the detail of course...in which case you can contact me). This is the way GM SHOULD have delivered the new GTO to begin with.

The detail:

Wash with Meg's NXT shampoo

Polish fenders and top of rear spoiler with Meg's #82 SFP and a Meg's 8006 pad with my PC set at 5. The car had some light rotary holograms that this combo knocked right out.

Seal with Pinnacle's Souveran paste wax by hand with a foam applicator. As Scottwax has said (I'm paraphrasing) this stuff is like rubbing baby oil on your paint!!!:xyxthumbs

The car:

"Black Tiger GTO by Prescribed Power. Available through Carl Black Pontiac. Limited edition run of cars with body styling and performance upgrades. Horse power ratings from 380 to 600 with five different ram air engine packages, two levels of suspension and brake packages, 17" chrome wheels or optional 18" wheels as pictured. Any color under the sun is available. Vehicles starting from around $43K. For more information visit www.prescribedpower.com or contact Michael Drew (sales manager at Carl Black) at 770-475-9500/404-925-8632 or email jmichaeldrew@bellsouth.net"

There are 13 total pictures and I don't know how to put them all in one post...so bear with me and enjoy!!

I like the red... and the wheels look good. your detailing looks good as well but..

The hood scoop! EEK looks like one of those stick on ones you get online bla

The air vents on the fenders look like a thunderbird..bla

and I hate the exhaust tips are just wrong as well...

Sorry usaly I just keep my mouth shut...

PS My 56k just burst in to flames ;)

Eww. What the hell is that? Since, it is not a Japanese import I will call it a "corndog." The detail is nice but the car is wack.

One.

Awesome detail...as if I would expect anything less from you :up

I'm glad they're trying to do something with the GTO, but it just looks like a riced up Grand Am.

I like the car, but I am not crazy about the color. It almost looks like a pinkish red. I know it's not your detail job because I can still see great reflections, but it kind of looks like it's faded from a distance. One of the best looking american coupes on the road.

I thought I heard somewhere that the GTO's were made in Australia?
