Still fine-tuning my technique and "go-to" products on family/friend vehicles. This is my girlfriend's 2004 Dodge Stratus. It's in decent shape but never been waxed, clayed, etc. Products used:
--Wash with sheepskin mitt via 2 bucket grit guard method with Gold Class wash
--Meg's clay bar with Last Touch as lube
--#83 on hood, roof, and trunk via Hitachi rotary and maroon cutting pad
--#80 via PC on vertical panels and to follow-up #83
--#9 via PC on horizontal panels to follow up #80
--#21 via PC on whole car and removed by hand
--#16 on horizontal surfaces.
--Interior with Meg's Quick Interior Detailing wipes (didn't want a shiny finish)
--Exterior plastic/wheel wells with Meg's All-Season dressing
--Meg's Endurance painted on tires with paintbrush
I have recently decided to switch to the Optimum Line for defect removal and polishing as they don't dust much, if at all. Meg's does sometimes and in it's a pain, though not nearly as much as the Poorboy's SSR series (will never use them again). I'm hoping to streamline the process a bit more, hopefully to the point where I can use OC or OP and jump straight to my Meg's as LSP. We shall see. Anyway, about 90% happy with the job. Please chime in and critique.
After claying 1/6 of the hood:
Scuff on the driver side rear bumper (before)
Scuff after 84,83,80,9,and 7 (yeah, I know, crazy!)
Sun shot on the trunk
Wheel wells dressed with All Season Dressing and half tire with Endurance Gel
Money shot of the hood after LSP of #16
Hope this turns out ok. It's my first photo post.
