'04 Civic SI

Heavily swirled and scratched up '04 Honda Civic SI belonging to one of my cousin's friends. She brought it to the dealer to detail every year, she said they applied PermaGuard every year, but decided not to this year due to the cost and no significant change in removing the swirlies, it is also hand washed every week.

I supervised most of the detailing work done by my little cousin who is slowly becoming an Autopian himself. Wet sanded some of the paint touch up his friend did herself and bird dropping etchings and passed the rotary on the hood to shorten the polishing time with the PC. Had only about three hours to work on it.

She asked how to keep it swirl free and I told her to use only MF to dry and clean and bring it to a touchless wash instead of those costly handwash places, so she wants to keep it swirl free which is a good sign, only time will tell !

Process:

- Wash with Zep soap (the soap was available at the car rental company he works for)

- Clay with Sonus grey

- Polish Rotary(hood only) and PC with Meg's #80 with LC white polishing pad

- LSP Collinite 845IW

- Meg's HotShine on the rubbers

Before after washing twice, sorry for the bad pics inside the garage:

Afters

The metallac flakes really pop out
