'03 10th Anniversary Mustang Cobra detail

So that was Mike that was giving the smokeshows in that black cobra all last week! :D

Car looks awesome! I've definitely got a soft spot for those 03-04 snakes.

your cobra had some strong #'s...you sold it to get the GTO?

I had an '01 Grand Cherokee as a daily driver and the '04 Cobra as the weekend toy. The Cobra didn't get much use and I was getting internal family pressure to sell it. I eventually gave in and sold it in April 2006. I replaced the Jeep with an 06 Accord coupe, which seemed practical but after 2 months I traded it in on an 06 GTO. Coming from an 11 second car I missed the performance way too much. The GTO is still fairly respectable and makes a good daily driver because of its comfortable interior. I'll have to start a post showing the progression and craziness of my vehicles within a 3 month period.

here's a pic of mine after its last detail before it was sold:

Picture_0231.jpg

It had:

Stiegemeier Stage IV ported blower, 2.93 upper pulley, Borla catback, CAI, full suspension including Maximum Motorsports coilovers, 18x9 front & 18x10.5 rear SSR GT3 rims with BFG 315 drag radials, and a lot more...

Mike the detail is incredible and Todd the car is a beauty. Enjoy it like I should have....

How much do you think that RMG contributes to the final look? I'm considering trying it on my black paint. Would I replace the AIO step w/ RMG or use both?

Not sure about the AIO but RMG really adds alot of depth/wetness to black and red paint; I highly recommend it but I am not a professional detailer like alot of the fellow autopians are so they should chime in as well.

Black03GT - That was a bad *** Cobra...you had done alot of outstanding mods to it and it was a beauty as well. I am sure it hurt to get rid of it!! I do like the new GTO's; especially like you said the interior in them are superb!!

:thx all for the kind words!!

Andrew I always follow up any rotary work with the PC regardless of how mild a product/pad combo I use.

drew.haynes RMG adds tremendous depth and wetness on dark colors IMHO. I would apply RMG after AIO rather than replacing entirely as AIO does a good bit of polishing and also adds a layer of protection.

Todd thanks again my friend for the business and the many kudos!!! :spot

:getdown You betcha my friend. Hopefully you will have a few more people calling you to detail their mustangs :2thumbs: . Your work speaks volumes :waxing:

That's a gorgeous detail! Hopefully some day soon I'll be able to get those kind of results on black.

Side note, I thought you were a "PC-only" detailer, Mike?

I asked Mike (he agreed :chuckle: ) to use the rotary so he could lessen the effect of my water spots/etching until I could get it wet sanded.
