Today’s detail consisted of a 2002 Porsche 911 GT2 with around 10k. This car belongs to the same owner that I detailed the SL500 for last week. Upon arrival the car was cleaned and I saw no need for a wash. Sun was out all day so I was able to check my work after polishing.

Process:

Clay

Menz SIP with polish pad @ 1800rpms

Menz 106FF with finesse pad @1800rpms ->1500rpms respectively

Clear bra only polished with Menz 106FF

Car Washed (D@mn polishing dust!!)

Plexus on Clear Bra

HD cleanse

Zymol Vintage

Tires treated with Z16

Simple Interior: Vacuum, wipedown, all vinyl and leather conditioned with Z10.

I was able to get a good mix of halogen shots, sun shots, shade shots, etc. :)

All taped up ready to go!

Driver Door Half Shot: (Not as distinctive as some other I have posted but you can make out a color difference as well as deletion of swirls and hazing)

Don’t ask me how but these pics came out REALLY good IMHO. I took all pictures throughout the detail in full manual mode but these pics below, I must have gotten just the right zoom, f-stop, and shutterspeed!! :)

Think I can sell them? lol jk

Sweet looking ride. Nice job on the detail. It is truly amazing that people let a car like that get into a condition sucj as that shown in your before pics. I know.... there are certainly worse examples of letting a car go, but most of those people should have them taken away for abusing them. What a shame. Good save Chris. Good work.

The car isnt driven much and I feel the problem is the owner constantly uses the car cover and california duster to it. The swirls were not that "bad" per say, meaning they werent DEEP like the SL I did but the constant rubbing of the finish caused hazing and dense light swirls. I have informed the owner of better methods. :)

lol keep that to yourself buddy !

Well...I would but your work (and of course the zymol and red) just kills me!!!!! Its unbearable. BTW that first shot with the tape was pretty incredible. The red glowed so well indoors!!!!!!

 Perfect red! Deep and liquid!

Is the driver's door a repaint? The orange peel is very bad for a Porsche.

Nope...I took paint measurements and there are no indications of repaint at all on the door. In person the orange peel didnt seem to bad :nixweiss
