The car was shining pretty well to start with, after DACP and NXT, man what a difference!
My process as follows:
Wash with Pro Cherry Suds, 2 bucket method, and sheepskin mitt
Didn't clay, still not sure how to do it without causing excess marring, especially on a black car like this
Wheels and tires, used an old beater wool mitt for this task
Dried using Autopia 25x36 Waffle Weave MF. I love these things. I bought 2 of them:up
DACP on PC mated to a W-8006 polishing pad on speed 5. Doing small sections at a time worked it in for about 7 minutes or so to total break down, no excess marring here. Buffed off using Meguiars Ultimate Wipe MF. At this point in the game, DACP was real easy to buff off and the GP was really coming to life!
NXT on PC mated to a W-9006 pad on speed 4. The pc along with NXT was just gliding right over the surface like it was smoothed ice. No need for working it in, just a few passes over each panel enough to spread it out evenly. I went around the whole car, then went inside for dinner. Came back out and buffed off using a clean Ultimate Wipe. NXT I must say is the easiest and shiniest wax I have used to date. Super easy on, super easy off.
For the wheels I applied some #7 just for looks and Meguiars Endurance high gloss. Buffed the excess with a beater towel for a nice sheen. I was really pleased when the GP hit the sun, enjoy!
