1 Clean WS6
Detailing Rottweiler
Hello all!!!
Gathering 9 (www.fbodygathering.com) is fast approaching and I have been getting my hands on a few more local f-bod's because of it. Always a good thing in my book!! This 2002 Z28 belongs to my long time friend Bill Lawler of Prescribed Power (www.prescribedpower.com). He was formerly a tech for GMMG (an f-body tuner shop) before leaving to start his own business He has done 90% of the wrenching on my WS6...which says a lot about the quality of his work. He also owns an '02 ZL1 Supercar that I should be detailing shortly.
The car is a GMMG modified Z28 done for Hot Rod magazine and sold through Berger Chevrolet. More info on the cars can be found here http://www.gmmginc.net/html/hotrod_camaro.html There were a total of 35 (plus 2 or 3 prototypes) Z28's modified this way...one for each year of Camaro production and each were numbered with a "year" of production. This particular car is number "1972" and sits in storage most of the time showing just under 12K on the odo. Hopefully he and I can make a leg or two of the Hot Rod Power Tour one of these days!! :up
The car was in great shape with some light marring from placing a car cover over a dusty vehicle. :nono Below are pics and a description of the detail. Oh...and please pardon the pollen in a few of the pics.
Enjoy,
Mike
The detail:
Wash with Meg's Gold Class shampoo
Polish with Meg's #82 using a Meg's 8006 with my PC set at 5.
Seal with Meg's #21 using a Meg's 8006 pad with my PC set at 4. I let the #21 set on the paint for approximately 25 minutes before removal.
